After a less than inspiring visit to Renault I decided to pop down to Mike at Rentech to see if he could diagnose /sort out my noisy gearbox /clutch problem. Very nice guy and has owned an rs250 so seemed to know what he's on about. He thought the noise was about par for a rs megane (bloody French workmanship) but thought the dual mass flywheel my be a bit worn so consequently making the rattles, but not to be overly concerned. He checked all the mounts but didn't find any excessive movement. He then had a look at my drivers side window which wouldn't go completely down due to it clearly hitting something, he discovered that the magnet from the middle of the (non functioning) speaker had fallen out and so impeding the window. He said he had a spare speaker that I could have foc and so fitted it (Renault by the way had said that I needed a new window regulator, more bollocks from them!) So,,,,summary, a nice bloke, has renaultsport experience and wants you to leave happy (which I did), would recommend.
Good to hear someone else has been to see Mike and is pleased with his work, have you had him do anything else except servicing liquidf1?
Do most stuff myself bud but wouldn't hesitate to use Mike for anything, really knows his way round these cars.
