Renault Clip v146 loading issue - peripheral device updating failed

Discussion in 'Megane Discussion' started by mrpink, Jul 9, 2015.

  1. I had this issue a while ago on v103, then after leaving it a while it worked fine.

I updated to v146, worked fine.

Recently the battery in the laptop storing the date settings failed and so reset the date.
My brother then tried to pen Clip and it gave an error, we changed the date but it still continued with the error.
We have removed the Clip software and re-installed v146 again but we are just getting the error.

    Method of use:
    1. Put the ignition on and plug the physical Clip unit into the car.
    2. Plug the physical Clip unit into the computer.
All lights are on on the physical clip unit.
    3. Launch Clip software.
Software then tries to update and gives the error 'peripheral device updating failed Renault Clip'.

    Clip of the error:

    Any advice is appreciated!

  2. So it worked with v146 before? How odd.

It may be worth trying an earlier version them upgrading to a later version.

  3. Failing that, try it in another car first, or try plugging it in then turning on the ignition.

  4. Yeh its got me puzzled.
Ill have to pop in in my parents Renault. Just one step away from a wipe and refresh atm :worried:
