Is there a specific way to remove the black plastic tray that the spare wheel sits in on the mk3? I can see its bonded in by the looks of it but not sure if theres any bolts also?
I guessed it was for a wheel judging by the shape But this insert/tray Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its a debate My mate has just bought one for track use and wants to remove it, but from looking at it underneath, it looks like removing it will leave a big open hole in the floor, but he thinks otherwise Was hoping it was easy to remove to find out lol
Yeah it'll leave a hole in the floor. I'd leave it there because even if you do find something lighter, it's not worth the hassle of replacing it and sealing it properly against the outside elements
