Removing front speaker covers.......

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by seven, Oct 22, 2013.

  1. Do they just pull-off? or does the trim/door card have to be removed?

  2. On my 225 i must remove the trim

  3. Was hoping I could just pull the covers off, oh well.

They do come off on a 3dr, be careful as the clips on mine broke, also they have a plastic tongue that slots into the door card near the handle. Even on a 5dr they do come off.

they just pull off. messing with the doorcard though is hell so if you're changing speakers just keep it to pulling cover off.

  7. Will give it a go. Cheers

  8. Really struggling with these! They seem to be flexing and bending when I'm pulling them - I'm convinced they are going to snap!

They might, I broke one of mine removing, the only advice I can give is to pull as close as possible to the clips. They will budge. Start at the bottom left when doing the drivers front door, and bottom right when doing the passengers front.

I also found it helped to have something flat to lever them out.

  11. Same as above post. If you can work out where they are attached apply pressure there. Bottom left and right off the top of my head. As for the top can't remember.
