R26 remove gear linkage arm to convert to short shift help

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by wardyworld, Mar 12, 2015.

  1. I recently fitted a short shift, I got the ktec one, so replaced the entire actuator.

So - I have a complete spare actuator. I want to remove the gear link arm so that I can send it off to a member on here so they can make themselves a short shift.

How the hell do I take the arm off the actuator? (I'm not mechanically minded - but even I should be able to do this!?)

    Thanks,

  2. With a centre punch and a hammer. You have to knock a split pin out IIRC

  3. Cool, thanks - i'll get my brother-in-law to do that!
