275 Remove Aerial Unit

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by OiNK, Aug 19, 2016.

  1. Anyone able to provide a quick walk through on how to remove the aerial unit from the roof? I need it off in prep for getting the roof wrapped, is it easy enough?

    Thanks

  2. When did mine removed the spoiler, pulled the washer jet through, then inside boot removed rear trim at back towards where rear seat belts are.

Then could remove, get at the roof lining and underneath the ariel to remove it.

The GPS / Radio cables etc all run via the drivers side so when removing that section just be a little more careful than the passenger side.

  3. @EAndy how the hell do you get the wires out of the base unit? They seem like they are super glued in....

    Anyone help?

    Thanks

  4. I think the ts plugged in the roof lining somewhere?

  5. Can't see a plug anywhere, the wire seems to flow down to the drivers side rear light cluster somewhere...what a pain, why can't it just unplug from the aerial unit :worried:

  6. Mine was plugged in basically the area sort of top right of the rear window behind trim. I simply unplugged and pulled wire through and after re-connected. Mine is a RS250 with the original TomTom standard unit thing, no idea if later versions they changed bits.
