Just curious how easy it would be to access modifying the code for interior electronics such as fan controls etc on a r26? I have a bit of electronic knowledge behind me and the whole auto button issue where to turn off auto you have to change all the settings really annoys me! Is there a bit of software and a access point or am I just talking a load of old tosh?? Cheers Tom
I would imagine it would be defined code burned into an EEPROM, I certainly haven't come across anything through clip If u could trace the chip that controls the fans I'm sure it could be read back and changed unless it's locked down code
I am not sure I understand the issue here ? Auto is on , therefore if needed the A/C will kick in. Press up or down once to disable the auto - have I missed something ?
As above you cannot alter this as it's a pre-programmed function in the HVAC control module. Trying to change it would be like reconfiguring the reaction time in your ABS module from detecting a wheel locking up and reacting to it.
