Hi I bought a megane rs 265 that has a tune on it. After using it daily for a month, the previous owner mentioned that the remap is made for 100 octane but in my country thats ridiculously expensive and i'm planning to get the map fixed for 95 octane or just get it back to stock. But my question is how much damage (if any at all) will the damage get if i use 95 octane fuel on the 100 octane map? Thanks guys
I'm not 100% sure what damage if any, as the ecu will pull the timing if it detects it knocking. It will probably only show if you are booting it like on track, if your just driving around town and not giving it what for, then it will probably be ok. You could add some octane booster
