I'm starting to put my car back together but I'm getting stuck with refitting the lower wishbone. To say it's a pain in the Arse is a bloody understatement. Is there a certain way this needs to be refitted because I've tried various ways with little success. Help.
Which bit are you struggling with? I recently re-fitted mine with the subframe out and even then it was a complete pain in the ass - notably because of the powerflex bushes. The centre hole of the large read bush simply didn't line up on one side and after hours of pushing, squeezing, hammering and levering i resorted to opening the size of the whole in the subframe with a dremel to get a bolt through. It was literally the only way besides trying to bend the lower arm.
Everyone I get it fitted it seems like the driveshaft is bent? It's not, it rotates perfectly until I get the wishbone back in then when I spin the hub it's notchy if that makes sense. Took it out and refitted it 3 times but was always the same. I'm going to take it out again but fit the strut last this time.
All sorted. Did the passenger side in 20 minutes. Now I know how to do it I'm gonna refit the drivers side.
