worth wrapping my bonnet with carbon fibre effect? opionions welcome! seen a few other megs like mine with it but not sure if its tacky. cheers
See I don't actually mind the look of the car with it done. I bought my 225 Trophy with it already wrapped all be it in matt carbon. I think it looks pretty good. If you were getting it done, I'd say go for a good quality gloss carbon effect as it would look more like an R26.R bonnet and I think the Megane can pull that look off. As it happens I'm planning to remove the vinyl on my bonnet this evening but only because it's starting to wear and is looking a bit pants. I suspect the fact that it was garaged for the last couple of years and I've had it outside through all weathers since I bought it.
^^^^ compared to my standard bonnet though I think that looks pure tack. Personally I wouldn't touch are car that's been wrapped, it could be a minefield under there.
Thankfully I've known the previous owner of my Trophy since I was 16 and he bought this 225 about a year before I bought my other one. I knew the car when he had it wrapped and checked with him prior to starting to remove the wrap (last night) that the bonnet was immaculate which it is. Well what I can see of it so far is mint, it's turning out to be a b*stard to remove!!!! Just hoping I can get the rest removed tonight, then get the bonnet polished and protected like the rest of the car.
Update. Look great. I was watching it on my mobile and I had impression that paint came off the bonnet :rolleyes:
