Reconditioned Driveshafts - NOW POSSIBLE

  1. Long story short - I swapped driveshafts, as we all know Renault don't sell separate CV joints, then the new ones have started clicking intermittently.

Not good, given they're about a grand (inc VAT) from Renault from new.

I searched around for someone that could help...

DriveshaftsUK came recommended by some local people who did propshafts and came up on Google

The gent's name there is Bob, and he's had a look

    There are two options...

    - if not completely buggered, recondition them. Cost for both sides is around £250 inc VAT (think it'll be plus shipping)

    - if completely buggered, and power levels aren't too high, convert them to 6 ball bearing joints for £325 inc VAT

If I need to swap back to them, i'll post up if they seem any different. Mine just need reconditioning.

  4. I used DriveshaftsUK for my Clio 182 Cup ones. Really pleased with the service, and they were as new once fitted, without the horrid clicking they did have on full lock.

  5. really good service and knowledgeable, they made some driveshaft specific to my car (PK4-001 gearbox and R26 hub)
    Would recommend

  6. It's a click that speeds up as wheels rotate faster

If you get it when stationary then more likely steering bushes?

    Mark Black's your man!
