Good morning All, My 225 F1 build is taking shape, all parts fitted....apart from R26 rear beam, got to figure out the rear brake set up for that. I know have the following fitted: Ktec Inatke Ktec 3'' exhaust Forge Intercooler New gearbox Quaife LSD TTV single mass flywheels R26.R clutch Powerflex all round R26 from ARB New engine and Gearbox mounts with powerflex inserts HEL braided lines all round Low Temp Thermostat Swivel bearings All suspension links/tie rods, anti rotation New colipacks plus plugs etc I plan to get the car mapped at EFI - do I need any of the following if I am not changing the Turbo (so will be limited by the Turbo)? Cooksport Billet fuel rail 630 injectors Forge Recirc valve If yes what are the advantages of adding these? Thanks
Is it decatted or sport catted? If not you won’t be getting the most out of it. Fuel rail isn’t essential but if it’s a centre feed rail it will distribute fuel more evenly and have less chance of no.1 running lean. Injectors again not essential but will give you a bit more head room on the duty cycle. Recirc valve I would say definitely needs doing as the stock one is unlikely to hold the increased boost.
This my first Megane so I'm new/learning the go to parts/mods. It isn't Sport or De-catted - didn't want Decat because I don't want the emission hassle come MOT time. Did find a Sport Cat but couldn't get one in time for the works that were being done. At the moment only putting a some road miles on before it goes back for a check over. Any Sport Cat recommendations? Would Forge be the Recirc valve to get or are there others? Fuel rail Ive only seen Cooksport and danST engineering - any others you would recommend?
