I think Autoglass are pretty close to OEM , i have a front screen fitted off them and its spot on really
Would a replacement from Autoglass explode if you use the screen heater as well, or just the OEM one? Seriously I'v never used that since I read all the horror stories?
Yes. Couple weeks ago mine exploded. Gen ones were on back order in France and about £120+vat retail. Had it replaced by national windscreens thru insurance, the guy tht fitted it was spot on did a great job. I have seen shit replacement jobs tho thru work as the non gen glass is always a little smaller so its down to the fitter to get it right and make sure no sealer is showing etc
I had mine on most of last winter never heard of them popping before, is it when the windows are frosted or just the cold?
used mine last winter too and then after not using it for mnths i used it to demist and bang! a few have had it happen, just one if those things.
