Rear pads for track mk3

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Yorkie, Jan 3, 2022.

  1. So I’ve tracked a r26 but not a mk3. What’s peoples opinions/ recommendations on rear pads for the mk3. Will be using winmax w5 on the front.

  2. I personally don’t have any track experience yet but from what I’ve read stock pads at the rear are absolutely fine for track use and there’s no point changing them.

  3. We generally run a mild upgrade pad - I think we have Mintex 1144 in there at the moment

Depends how quick you are. Definitely worth doing a decent rear compound if you have something decent on the front axle. Way nicer balance and better stopping power.

I’m on Pagid RS29 all round, expensive pads but they last and do the job, Motul 660 fluid as well.

  6. I've got the winmax w5 on front and pbs race for the rear. Epic combo
