R26 Rear lamp removal

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by Chawkie, Jul 12, 2019.

  1. Hi all,

The bottom bolt on both my rear lamps are spinning and no undoing. I'm assuming a captive nut has come loose.

Any tips on how to remove, can the interior panels be removed to get access to the captive nut?

I searched and got no hit but assuming this is common given both lamps are the same

youll have to take the rear bumper off i think

2 bolts/screws in both wheel arches
    4/5 bolts underneath the bumper

and it will come off and you should be able to hold the captive nuts from spinning

  3. Had a look at bumper pics, looks like there are 2 clips that sit behind the rear lights to release the bumper.
