R26 Rear caliper piston question

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by j4ybee, May 11, 2014.

  1. Just in the process of replacing the rear brakes and need to go buy myself a piston winding tool as i cant get it to shift. Can anyone enlighten me to whether i need a right hand threaded tool or a left handed one? I think i need a left handed one??

    thanks

  2. Never done a 225 but a few 197s and I believe they're the same calipers? It's a clockwise rotation to push the piston back in.

  3. Clockwise mate but can be very stiff.

  4. I have said tool John.
