250 Rear caliper dust seal split

  1. Long story short, my rear calipers are in dire need of an overhaul. I've currently got a second set of rear calipers in for a complete refurb at BiggRed. They're not due back until the end of next week

The dust seal on the OS is perished and split. I've pulled the loose bits off. Essentially, whilst the base of the seal is still fitted the piston outside of the caliper is exposed. Pads are new so not a lot of the piston is out.

In the meantime, is it ok to drive it around without a dust seal? I'm not sure I'll get the refurbed calipers back before I need to get the car to RS Tuning in 10 days time. Leeds is a 1.5 hr drive up the M1.
