Had my car in the garage today to investigate why my steering wheel has been slightly out of centre since getting my new tyres fitted . I was guessing maybe the hub bearings were wearing out . Anyway the garage have told me the rear passenger side wheel is toeing out ever so slightly causing some of the problems and the new tyres have highlighted this just what i needed ! Apparently its had a little bump at some point on that wheel bend somewhere within the arm or maybe the stub axle im told it may have been as easy as a 10 mph slide into the curb on ice or something similar . So im im the market for a new full axle from a r26 anyone know where theres one knocking around cheap and straight a new one from ads is 1080 + vat i dont have that kinda cash free at the moment with wedding planning and buying a house and fueling my meg thanks for any help
Rear wheels on the meg toe in not out. Most are a mess from factory as in neither side is equal, it's visual on mine too. I replaced my beam for a ph2 cup one and it's easy, just make sure it all lines up properly. If one wheel is toeing badly though the stub axle could be bent or the axle mount has perished, but that would give awful feedback.
It drives ok jus steering wheel moves left slightly when you let go and the car goes to the kerb i can put a pic of the tracking sheet up if anyone understands it they have said its not major as its just inside the allowed margins i think it would be a lot worse if the stun axle was bent
Im sure someone can make sense of this but i dont really lnow what im looking at it might as well be spanish
Iwill ot be the same though ? Ive had new put on recently i only owned the car since october last year so hadnt really noticed
I'm unsure if it's the same. 1mm is alot, 2.5mm is loads though, it will dragging the wheel along the road.
How much does anyone think theese are worth i found onr for 275 but thats more tgan i wanted to pay tbh
There is a chap on the other forum breaking and r26r. I have bought the rear discs and calipers from him so the back axel should still be up from grabs.
Cheers for the heads up i have allready bought that from josh should be arriving tommorow then i can get it fixed
