Hi I have a mk3 265. Every once a while, maybe once a month it happens that when i have a cold starte there's a loud rattle. It rattles for about half a second then it stops. After that, engine sounds healthy and no wierd sounds. It also drives ok, pulls ok - everything is fine I also noticed one time when this happened the engine wanted to bog down for a bit. I felt like it was about to stall out but it didn't Anyone have any idea what could it be? Thanks
My 250 does this to. I think it's the hydraulic tappets that make the sound just before oil pressure builds up. Engine also runs fine.
