Rally or Rallycross enthusiasts

  1. Is anybody here (apart of me) mad about rally or rallycross? Especially WRC, ERC, WRX.

I am asking, as I spot lot of Renaultsport cars during events.

  2. I am an armchair supporter but would love to get into Rallycross more with my sons.

  15. It is shame Renault don't have a WRC team. They have got nice history with Renault 5 and Jean Ragnotti. Renault achieved lots of championship in national rallies, they should build something on that heritage.

    Nice photos from italy buddy!

What sort of costs are involved?

Not seen any WRC stuff but seen the IRC Scottish leg and a lot of smaller Scottish stuff, particularly the Isle of Mull rally. Theres a Local guy who runs a MK2 Escort rally car and has been quite successful in it

  17. Great pictures. You should remove the date and time from them though!!

  18. I go for a WRC during my family holidays, so not much extra costs are involved. Access to stages and service is usually free. Unfortunately Wales Rally GB is one of this where you need pay for entry to service or special stages, but it is cheap comparing with F1.

I can't take of dates, as I had my camera set that way when I was taking pictures. If you like them, just copy and cut the bottom edge.

  19. I am mega into rallying and compete myself but on a much lower scale on road rallies, also go watching Rally GB and some national rallies,as mentioned before Mull is really good and watching Callum Duffy in his Mk2 Escort is awesome

Renault have quite a few cars out just not WRC,would love a go in a Megane N4 with the dogbox bet they would be quite competitive on Tarmac

    megane N4(fast foreword to 2mins)

  20. Do you start at AutoSolo or Targa? I know couple of guys who are competitive at Targa / AutoSolo and British RX ( hot hatch) class.

  21. No I didn't do that just went straight into road rallies, quite a few in the North West and loads in Wales

  22. Nice. What car do you drive there? Megane / Clio? What is your next planned rally?

  23. No,rally car is a Proton Satria, road car a Meg 250,No one really uses Renault's,there is a heavily modded 172 cup driven by Neil Weaver but it's always breaking shafts, the Protons are bullet proof and handle really well and once you get parts from Harry Hockly Motorsport they are Mega! They are basically an old Mitsubishi Colt so lots of Evo bits just bolt straight on brakes etc

  24. Nice. Good luck!

Post some pictures of your Proton.

  25. Anybody is going to Castle Combe on 20th September 2014? Rally Day is happening soon http://www.rallyday.com
    I have bought ticket already.

  31. Yep will be heading down to Clocaenog East nice and early in the morning to watch it! Defiantly not in the meg after I've just cleaned it though ha!

  32. I have just come back from morning service at Deeside. Yesterday I was watching Sweet Lamb. Tomorrow I am going to Kinmel Park, as I traveling with my little girl.
    I spotted couple of Meganes.
