I have these on the fronts, they are excellent in the wet which is there main selling point but they are a very decent dry tyre. Only covered 200 miles on mine so far but I'm happy . The 225 gives no rim protection though
Sadly I can't do a proper comparison as the tyres that the previous owner had put on were fullruns like a ling long ditch finder, so any branded tyre was going to feel awesome as a replacement the feedback from the RS3s is very good and you can quite comfortably lean on the tyre
