  1. Here's a few, Ok a lot of photos taken at RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath in Suffolk. The bases are home to the USAF, Tankers and special forces at Mildenhall and Eagles at Lakenheath.
Lakenheath has 3 sqns of Eagles:
492nd Madhatters fly F15E strike eagles
493rd Grim Reapers fly F15c/d Eagles

The Strike Eagle is a very powerful multi role fighter with almost 60,000lbs of static thrust compared to say a Typhoons 40,000lbs and the F15c/d has 50,000lbs.

  7. Stunning. Please keep the pictures coming.

I live within 1/2mi of RAF Finningley ( well was ! ) now Robin Hood Airport. We get the occasional interesting movement but nothing quite like that

Used to be based at RAF Honnington in between the two and regularly saw A10s practising , f15 and the huge B52s.

  8. Thanks mate, Yep ok i'll keep ya up to date with pics. Is the Vulcan still at Finningley?
