Radiator Steam or nothing to worry about ?

  1. Hi all,

Heading to Germany this weekend so thought id take the Megane for a little blast to get the tyres pumped up.
Noticed when i stopped after approx 10 minutes of driving that the Radiator seemed to be steaming on the right hand side (as you look at the car), its got a standard radiator.

It hasn't steamed before, is this simply because of the rain hitting the raditator ?

    Matt

  2. Common issue with a rad leak probably on the side/seal

  3. Could you smell coolant?

  4. Cant say i did smell coolant, no. Just checked it again now with some light and it looks like the front rad (air con) has leaks at the top right and left corners, i guess this could be the cause of the steaming right ?

  5. Possibly yes... Remove bumper for a better look. Also checked coolant level. It's a easy job to change

I wouldn't even contemplate going on track there if there was even the slightest notion of a leak anywhere.
