Hello guys, just recently my car has been overheating when left stationary idling. Now i know a common cause for over heating is the thermostat being at fault, however would that stop my fan from kicking in? .. Drove 90 miles on the weekend and engine temperatures were fine until i arrived at my destination and got stuck in city traffic. Happened a few times now and have turned the interior heating fan on with recirculation on and it seems to help a little but the radiator fan still isn't working, the last time it happened i wasnt in the car and multiple warning messages were active and car was in the temporature gauge was in the red zone.. anyone have any ideas or at least anything i can check? Thank you in advance!
Top tip for fan issues, as I’ve just found this out, thank you Mark Black… if you’ve had the battery, ecu, battery tray out etc, make sure this cable is reconnected and not hanging down the back of the battery
