Cheers guys , I have seen the fitting on theses and have noticed that there is a hole in the middle of the boot still from the previous spoiler what can you do about that as water will get in :/
I do tha mod, I have to welded and repaint all the part, mine is a Replica from an oem r26r spoiler(oem can only be import from ktec or renault and its very $$$), looks good got some deatils because its a replica but was very cheap (100 dlls). I also paint the mid hole in gray as the rims
Last year I sorted out a group buy on the other site for r26r spoilers. If there was enough interest i could do it again Link to the dark side http://www.meganesport.net/community/showthread.php?63749-R26r-spoiler-group-buy&highlight=spoiler
Hey carl would you be doing the fitting for £50 same as on the other site? If this pans out? How long would you need the car for to fit? And would you be able to spot weld/ fill / paint the hole leftover or would it just be a rubber bung job?
Yes I could weld and fill the hole for about £100 inc vat And fittings for £50 inc vat If anyone is interested just send me a pm
I am deciding on doing the spoiler gloss black against my car as it has a few black bits on it what you think ? Has anyone got a pics of one ?
Looks nice , I no you said about welding the middle hole up but can you get a small grommit or bung to fill it ?
Yes you can I could supply a bung with the spoiler if required but I had a few people wanting the hole welding up.
Yes it would come with all the fittings and a rubber bung. And we would take payment over the phone via card.
if you pm me your details i will get someone to contact you tomorrow. http://www.brianleighton.co.uk/aftersales/body-shop/
Renault R26R I am thinking about fitting a R26R to my black F1 R26. Renault are selling the original part in primer for £127 has anyone fitted one? How do you remove the F1 R26 one? is there anyone in the South East that could spray and fit it? Cheers John
Hi John If its a genuine Renault part it dose not come primed I can do painted and posted out for £250
The original one is bolted and bonded on. You need to remove interior tailgate panels and take the nuts off, then lever the old one off. Then remove any sticky residue and bolt the new one on (ideally with bond too). You will be left with a small hole on the tailgate where one of the original bolts went through. Professional job is to weld a plate and respray, but you can just stick a rubber bung in the hole.
Like to have it welded up plus I need the sill re sprayed too after the ***** at the garage scratched it and the roof. Need to to find a great R26 friendly garage in the south or may be combine with a trip to RS Tuning in Leeds.
I don't think its an R26 friendly garage you need mate, just a decent garage! I used to live in Kent and never found one.
I bought my R26 from Ware Garage in Hertford and used them for a service and parts and they were very good. It's just along way for me to go.
J if wembley is not too far for you theres a place called ital that are very good for bodywork... had the front bumper wings and bonnet on my old astra done there... will be getting the r26 in there to take care on my sills and tidy up the front bumper from stone chips too...
Hello guys I got my spoiler from the link below, £127.92 free delivery. Got a local guy to paint it Ultra Red, £70. Fitted it myself. Easy enough job as it comes with the relevant fitting kit and instructions. It all depends if your confident enough to drill the tailgate :-0 http://renaultpartsdirect.co.uk/cat...ault-Megane-R26-Range/Megane-R26-Accessories/ regards Bob
Cheers Bob I'll either do this or visit Brian Leighton Garage as I need other paint repairs too. Ideally like to find a good garage and paint shop in the South.
anyone got any pics of the process of this and is the hole you have to bung under the spoiler when fitted ?
