Guys, I'm looking where to get the clutch and seem to be struggling, i put the reg in of an old mk2 1.9 but the options dont match anything written in here. The car goes to Mark Black on the 2nd so i need to sort it.

I have a contact at ECP but hes not the easiest to get hold of. Any cheap links?

I have the R spec SMF and LUK slave sat here ready.

  2. Ypu should find one by the part number provided in the topic.
Tje mk2 1.9dci megane isnt the one you are looking from.
The pn is off a scenic 1.9dci 130bhp

@Naith apparently euros and GSF dont have any stock of the LUK clutch and they dont have a delivery date

£140 with a csc in the pack. I already have a slave though so I'll be selling the one I get as part of the kit

  8. I can confirm that the single mass lightened flywheel and 1.9 dci clutch work beautifully. Got my car running again yesterday and all is good.

Worth shopping around for the clutch, eBay and Amazon have plenty of options.

  9. Anyone know what sort of power the R26.R/1.9Dci clutch can put up with???

  10. Its the torque that os limiting factor not the power.

  11. As above, yet to find out but rst reports atleast 360lb/ft. I'll try to push that envelope next year

  12. I'm at 390 ftlbs and clutch still holding. The only thing different is I have ap racing drive plate but don't know how much that helps.

  13. Would help alot!

  14. Hi guys
My clutch has just started to slip today, I have a track day next weekend so I need a new clutch
Where's the best place to get a clutch and what price ? Diesel clutch ?
    Cheers

  15. Just managed to get a second hand TTV for my R26
What do I need for the fitting then - which clutch guys? And do you have to replace the slave cylinder?
My clutch is fine at the mo (with OEM DMF) but not sure whether to wait for it to die or just get it done same time as sports cat fitted? Car's on 67k now

  16. Hi ! I'm writting these here so i won't start another topic : i want to change the DMF on my Megane 225 to a SMF with a Helix motorsport clutch. It is necessary to change the clutch bearing or the standard one does a good job ? Thanks in advance.

    luk part no. 624331633

  20. Yes. It manages bigger power and torque. Owners who had this on their cars can explain better than me and tell the differences.

Stocked at EuroCarParts, Part number 637747200 should be about £210.

yeah £140 is what I was expecting after looking about and seeing parts priced seperately - where did you get yours from Matt?

cool - spoke to a mate at GSF - is £320 on their website but with the 53% discount offer they put on every weekend will be down to £148 so ill grab that tomorrow
he could do it trade for £166 but even he said buy it when the offer is on!

  31. Interesting, need it all for mine

gutting amount of money to spend on parts so every penny counts! Ive just confirmed with Euro Parts the part numbers too - they do this kit for £210 so far better price on the GSF weekend offer.
This is the R26r clutch not the usual R26 one by the way - there is a brand new Kit on eBay for a standard LUK R26 clutch for £86 at the moment with a 'make an offer' option so could possibly get it even cheaper but if I'm doing it I want the R26r version as want to get one up to around 300bhp

  33. Yeah I'm only after R26r and ttv to match. Clutch was fine until I got it mapped last weekend!

thats even more annoying than mine! at least mine has been mapped since Ive owned it so didn't have to just pay for that too! my mate (owns grange service station in cardiff - renault specialist) will fit it though so at least that bit is free (I detail his cars!)

  35. Yeah especially as I had the cat done the week before and he said 'wouldve been a good time to fit Clutch now when doing cat'!! Bugger!!

    Typical mate! Always the way!

  37. How are people setting the self adjusting mechanism on the pressure plate without the specific tool??

  38. If its a new pressure plate then just tighten all of the bolts at same time. Dont let the pressureplate get angled in respect to the flywheel.
Tho If you want to get a used one and get it back in starting position. You either need a tool or a press.
I can instruct you how to get it done on a press iy you want. Its not hard.

  39. So if the 1.9dci and 2.0T uses the same clutch, what about the gearboxes? I had an issue with my 000 gearbox replaced it with NDO 001 from a 1.9dci and I'd swear my car is a tad slower especially on 6 I now have to switch lower gear to overtake which never happened with 000 box. Is it the box or might it be that my car is not boosting?

Different ratios in the boxes I'd imagine.
