hi all, I've recently bought a Megane r26 Reg no. BN58 EFX which has been lightly fettled with and wondered if anybody has anymore info on the car?
Has a stage 1 remap from RStuning at 259bhp Gpi racing 60mm uprated intercooler Cooksport lowering springs Boardys shortshift fitted Back box chop Ktec blanking plate ITG panel filter and airbox chopped Brand new HC brembo discs and ferodo ds2500 fitted in Nov 15. Brand new meg 175 rear discs and brembo pads Nov 15 I had a full service in Nov 15 as well including changing spark plugs, injectors brake fluid along with the usual service items. There were a few niggles with it when I sold it but nothing major, not sure if the garage sorted them or you know about them. Overall excellent car, never let me down, and I'm missing it to bits. Wish I never got rid of her. Let me know if you wanna know anything else I'm happy to answer any questions
That's amazing thank you so much. I got it at the weekend drive it 50 miles and haven't had time or the weather to investigate the car properly! Can I ask was the clutch slipping at all? After booting it a bit on the way home it felt like it was but didn't do it again. Do you know if the clutch is standard?
No never had any clutch slippage but the clutch is still on its original clutch so wouldn't surprise me if it needed to be change in the next 10000 miles. Both the driveshafts needed replacing as they were clicking when pulling on lock out of junctions. I had one replaced, think the drivers side, but never got round to the other side. Passengers window regulator needed replacing as it stopped working, the drivers side I had fixed (common problems on megs) Right rear indicator was playing up, it would flash at various speeds and when it flashed it dipped the rear lights and brake lights, bit of a strange one, think it might just be an earth problem Also the steering started to feel a bit vague and skittish so I think the hub bearing might need doing ( again common problems on the megs) Other than that she was spot on and never let me down
