My car is booked in at the end of March for a remap, it currently had k-tec 3" cat back exhaust, k-tec induction kit and forge dump valve and will be de-cat whilst in for mapping, I know with these mods it will only go to about 260-265bhp Is there anyway of getting a bit more without changing turbos and internals etc? Such as do 660cc injectors make much of a difference at this stage or any other small relatively cheap mods? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
My R26 made 266bhp with just a modded airbox and PiperX panel filter so yours should make more than that with the mods you've mentioned. I agree with Steve though, stage 2 is well within reach. Where's it being mapped?
I'm going to a small local garage, he did all the tuning in my 340bhp Ibiza, had it mapped a few different places but after going to him the car was completely different, wouldn't take my car anywhere else now What bhp are the standard intercoolers good for? And what bhp are the standard injectors good for?
Im on standard injectors and intercooler but with modded airbox and decat. Its achieved 275/275 at RST. Got a new intercooler and have 630 injectors coming so hoping for more.
I had posted where you could get a free guide that I wrote; for free on tuning But someone in the mod team deleted it. Quality. Its the thanks like this after I arrange loads of groupbuys , offer advice , and arguements that keeps me coming back. Top work chaps.
Oh damn that would of been helpful! Think I will order an intercooler and some injectors and see how mapping goes and then look at going hybrid
Speaking of mr bond, i took a ride in his r26 thats got a hybrid injectors ect ect & trust me its worth it If your thinking about eventually getting a hybrid, wouldn't it be worth holding out on getting it mapped for the time been? Instead of having it mapped twice?
I don't want to run big power straight away and throw a rod Will go hybrid turbo and forged internals all at once
