R26 Springs and Dampers or Cooksport on stock 225 Dampers

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Dan225RS, Dec 18, 2014.

  1. Quick question guys, do I fit Cooksport springs and standard dampers or R26 Springs and Dampers. They work out the same cost wise I want to use the car daily with the occasional track day. Any help would be good or is there a better set up than the above? Just want something more sharp but not crashy around town or on the motorways.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Out of interest what's the cost of the 2 options?

Most people fit R26 dampers - not sure why as I thought they relaxed the dampers on the R26?

  4. Brand New Cooksport Springs are £180 and on bay currently there is a full set of R26 springs and dampers for £180. Just find the stock 225 ones too soft.

Cooksports aren't crashy at all. Lovely ride on them whilst much less roll and movement.

  6. With the cooksports do the stock dampers not let them down at all or do they work well together?? Sorry for all the questions just made bad choices with suspension in the past.

Compliment them well. They were developed for a good while on road and track with a fair bit of input. Great upgrade tbf..

  8. Thanks Mate appreciate that will let you know how I get on.
