    Hi Guys,

Being new to the 26.R, I have seen may people post on here and other forums about how the turbo heat can affect the Carbon bonnet.

I have managed to get hold a R26 engine cover, but will this be enough? Is it worth looking into some Gold leaf applied to the area above the turbo? (apart from looking the part when you open the bonnet, anyone done this?)

My bonnet is mint and I would like to keep it this way.

    Any thoughts...

  2. I've stuck a sheet of silver heat shield tape on the under side of my bonet above where the turbo is

I used an engine cover as that has a heatshield on the underside, then put some reflect a gold type tape on the underside

  4. That heat tape looks good, got any problem with it? How do i find it

  5. A few of us have done it now, not sure if will will help, but it can't do any harm in keeping a bit of heat away
