Hi Guys, Being new to the 26.R, I have seen may people post on here and other forums about how the turbo heat can affect the Carbon bonnet. I have managed to get hold a R26 engine cover, but will this be enough? Is it worth looking into some Gold leaf applied to the area above the turbo? (apart from looking the part when you open the bonnet, anyone done this?) My bonnet is mint and I would like to keep it this way. Any thoughts...
I used an engine cover as that has a heatshield on the underside, then put some reflect a gold type tape on the underside
A few of us have done it now, not sure if will will help, but it can't do any harm in keeping a bit of heat away
