R26.R Bonnet going milky from Engine Heat. Warranty?

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by RedSquareImages, Jan 7, 2014.

  1. Has anyone had their bonnet replaced under warranty by RUK ? Mine is starting to turn milky from engine heat. Need to know if RUK are likely to cover.

    Please advise.

  2. Carlg had his replaced but that was a good couple of years ago mate, worth a phone call though , please let me know how you get on.

  7. exactly what the one we ordered in had on it!

  8. from asking jay at miglior about it he just said its from the heat and its the lacquer/gel coat separating from the carbon so very strange to have it on a new bonnet to be honest

  9. in fact the bonnet is still at our london west branch.i reckon its a manufacturing fault on a certain batch of them.the shape of whats on yours is nearly identical to that we had in

  10. Ads -any chance you could poke around and see how warrantable it is? Im on Renaults extended warranty if it helps

  11. I'd like to know too please as mine is also fooked. Let's hope they have a few knocking about somewhere as I believe the company that made them for Renault went tits up.

  12. If your car is over 3 years old or 60000 ml it won't be covered and the extended warranty is normally for mechanical parts only. Your best bet would be to contact Renault customer service and see if they can help you out.

  13. Is that official? RUK are likely to barf on a defective product? After 24k? hmm. Ill be cancelling warranty immediately if thats the case.

  14. After 24k miles or 24k price kev , I'm with you they should replace it .

  15. Sorry to Hijack the thread and if the powers above need to remove again sorry please do
