Looking to upgrade my intercooler on my R26, what are people using? Thinking of getting the Airtec 70mm core.... anyone used this? Thanks
im using the airtec one seems really good keeps temps down, getting it mapped soon, i previosuly had a forge one that was good aswell ran temps before and after was pretty much the same. Got my airtec one for £230 so was a bargain.
guy local to me had it for sale it was unused as it didnt fit in his clio with his meg conversion so he got different one it then sat in his garage for a little bit. He then listed it on ebay and i happened to see it so bought it straight away practically new. just a bit of luck i guess i looked days before that and was going to purchase full price.
I have a 70mm airtec and its absolutely fab dude.i was pondering on a cheap chinese one but i wanted something thats absolutely guaranteed to work and work efficiently and airtec was a bloody good choice. Its a piece of art work. Beautifully made.
The Airtec kits are excellent, you won’t be disappointed. Depending on your application, we offer the 70mm & 95mm variant both with Air Ram scoops. https://www.apmotorsport.co.uk/product-page/airtec-intercooler-70mm-megane-2-rs
Did you notice any performance gains with the Airtec over the Renault intercooler before you had the remap.Looking at going down this route next spring. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
You do notice a slight performance increase in pickup i would say very slight though dont expect massive things. Its more needed when mapped and helps keep temps down. on a standard car my temps decreased quite a bit used the dashcommand app to monitor before and after the new intercooler fitting, so then when mapped it will help massively aswell. Its more about keeping your car in the performance window than giving you more bhp for example you can keep on it for longer with the lower temps
Thanks mate. Airtec intercooler and sports cat(waiting for CGR to bring one to market) then up to RS tuning in spring. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
