R26 fuel flap

  1. Hi all, you may or may not remember me from a few years ago but I've just bought myself an R26 and am so glad to be back behind the wheel of a Megane. I have a little niggle which I want to sort out. Basically the fuel flap is sticking out on the side which faces the front of the car. I have opened the flap and can see that it seems to have been glued on? Are there usually clips that hold it on to the hinge? Is it worth me pulling it off and trying to secure it properly or is it a write off and new one needed? Thanks in advance.

  2. I've got this issue, top right of my flap appears to be coming away from the hinge mechanism

  3. That's the one, anybody got a fix for it please?!

  4. Haha mine did this in the cold weather! How do i get it to sit right again?

  5. Just spotted mine doing this also....? Lol. Bit odd

  6. Mines been like that since I got the car. Attempted to fix it awhile back and noticed the clips on the back of the fuel cap surround were broken. So thats why mines not flush.

I did take it off anyway and there was a lot of dirt behind it. Fits better after I cleaned the dirt off.

  7. Got to admit it doesn't look very sturdy
