R26 Brembo Calipers SOLD

Pair of R26 brembo calipers - £160 Posted

These are off my megane and have covered 50k miles. Will also fit Mk3 clios.

They're fully rebuilt with new seals, bleed nipples and pins. Pistons are in perfect condition. Paint chips have been touched up so they look near enough new.

However they have issues with the bleed nipple threads. The old nipples we're rusted in and damaged some of the threads when they we're removed. I had the threads tapped which seems to have worked on 3 out of the 4 nipple threads, but on the fourth the thread just stripped when I tightened the bleed nipple up - This is the worst one shown on the pictures.

All 4 threads have been damaged to some extent so I'm selling these as needing repair. Personally I wouldn't trust the other 3 threads and would advise that all 4 threads are either helicoiled, drilled and tapped to take M12 bleed nipples or fitted with bleed nipple repair kits as seen on eBay.

I'm not sure they're overpriced really.

I've checked ebay and the 'useble' calipers i've seen look completely battered for this money and would need a refurb too. Plus the bleed nipples could easily be seized like mine were and you'd end up in the same boat, with a worse condition caliper.

The rebuild kit I've used to refurbish these was £50 on its own and you can't even buy 1 new caliper for the price i'm selling these for.
