As above only happens occasionally does it sometimes when I unlock car to get in and sometimes when driving head it pop then says on dash? Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's probably water ingress into the boot switch - maybe a small hole or tear in the rubber cover. I bought a 2nd hand one on eBay only for it to turn out to be similarly damaged, so repaired my one with some glue and when it died again I coughed up for a new one (think it was over £20 :-( )
Mine done this a year ago because the rubber cover on the hole on the underside of the tailgate had moved when I was cleaning it. Refit it and dried the switch out with a hairdryer an worked ever since
