Did the RS Monitor (i.e. Telemtry package, G-force, etc...) come as standard in all of the 275 NAV in the UK or was it optional? Tony
Renault UK just confirmed that the RS Monitor 2 can not be retrofitted. Even if you have the R-Link 2. What a shame! I bought second hand without paying attention to this major detail...
You play with it a lot a first but after a few weeks you forget about it. I owned my trophy for over two years and didn't use the facility for the last 18 months. It's really not that important as an extra ( in my opinion).
Seriously? Any you would recomend? What about the battery of sensors that the car must have installed? Is a phone's gyro/accelerometer enough to give you all the data? Last, what about that throttle mapping feature? any good?
Seriously yes - none that I would necessarily recommend though as I haven't used any. The sensors are all there on the car anyway - the app connects through the OBD port in many cases. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en_GB https://torque-bhp.com/ Again, no recommendations either way, but a couple there from a very quick search.
Theres a post already mentioning the part numbers, mines an older part number that was superceded by another, but someone did buy a brand new one from renault (new part number) and it didnt work. Also jamies got rs monitor and his is the same number as the non rs monitor unit.
Yeah I just went on a search, found it. So Jamie has a working RS Monitor without a non rs monitor unit?
The throttle map feature is quite useful/fun. I did have it in Extreme all the time but found it almost too on/off. I now have it in the next one back, Sport, which gives a nice feel, but still has an element of being progressive. I played a lot with it when I first got it, but to be honest now pretty much leave it in the same map. As for RS Monitor, again, played loads with it when it was new, but now only have a play every so often, or if I want to show it to some mates lol.
