R-link 2.0 Question.

  1. Hi all,

Out here in Australia, Renault haven't activated the backend systems that allow the online services for R-Link 2.0 to work. None of our online services work, which is really annoying. We typically take the sd card out and update on a pc or Mac.

Does anyone know where the SIM card is? Would love to rip it out and try a local one.

Also, has anyone successfully got the system to connect via a data service on a mobile phone?

  2. I can't help with the SIM card location and I'm not trying to rub it in, but it's all working here in UK.

The system will only do some small updates and installations 'over the air'. All others still have to be done as you do above.

Having said it's all working, I can't seem to get the Coyote system to work but to be honest I haven't tried too much but I think others here have the same problem.

I'm not sure a different SIM would work as surely it still needs to log into Renualt servers and if these aren't running in OZ...

Data sharing could work with a mobile if you could hack the Android OS I guess
