Pulling to the left when accelerating

  1. Hi all,

I have a problem with my R26 whereby it pulls very subtly to the left when coasting along but when you accelerate hard it pulls really noticeably to the left. Especially at higher speeds I have to actively load the steering wheel to the right to counteract it.

I understand this will most probably be Hub related but I'm not sure on which bearing it could be or whether it could be tie rod etc etc.

I know mark black is the resident expert does anyone know where he is based or somewhere local to Newcastle who could sort it?

    Any help would be appreciated.

  2. First thing first, have you checked you tyre pressures?

  3. Yep sorry forgot to mention. Tyre pressures and tracking all perfect.

  4. Does the steering still self centre?

  5. It does. There is no stiffness or anything like that. I had new top mounts fitted with my cooksports and the problem didn't go away :worried:

  6. I'd recommend the hub bearings looking at and laser wheel alignment. Then again, some say this is simply due to the camber of the road.

  7. Have you tried jacking it up and giving the wheels a spin? Just check that the left calliper is not binding slightly.

  8. I haven't tried that - think I will give it a go

Have a look at the inner Ross as above and bare in mind the geo will be out after lowering. I wanna say hubs but check the rods and ends first

  12. Will do thanks boys. Appreciate the input
