The times come to renew my insurance but Im having issues with comparison websites when it comes to finding the correct car. I enter my reg and it comes up with a 265 Trophy when my car is a 61 plate RS250 cup. When I enter the details manually the only options it gives me are the 265 trophy or a RS Silverstone GP 250. Has anyone else had this issue? Ive tried all the main comparison sites and a few independent sites as well which have the same problem. Also when I proceed with a quote using the 265 trophy it comes up slightly cheaper than the 250 Silverstone GP.
Yea I have the same thing on my 11 plate. However when speaking to insurance companies on the phone they seem to find the correct model, strange.
Mine is an 11 plate and I had the same issue, can't remember which site though as when I spoke with the insurer they found the correct model.
The problem seems to be with 2011 cars only. I could find the full model range if I put in 2010 or 2012. For some the reason the big comparison sites seem to the think the RS250 was only made up to 2010. Got it sorted by contacting the cheapest insurer directly in the end.
