Hi all, thought I'd start a little blog about my 225. I bought it last August, got it cheap as it needs some love, so hopefully over time I'll be getting it back up to standard with a few modifications along the way. It does have full leather and pan roof that I love though As it stands I have done the following: Service Exhaust Rubber Mounts (although backbox is still wonky :@) 4 New Injectors 4 New Coilpacks Forge Dump valve blank, with an aftermarket dumpvalve, which i'll be changing for my HKS SSQV in the next day or 2 Forge Coolant Hose kit - what a pain to fit they all were! Forge Clamp kit New Wipers Tint the rear light - although I'm still not sure on these Started the custom speaker pods, one down one to go So heres a couple of pics as it stands: Plans to happen soon: Finish other speaker pod and fit tweeters Build New Sub box Change the awful air filter Start to clean up the engine bay Full detail, front bumper will need painting but hopefully the rest of the paint is salvageable This will be a slow project, the car comes after the kids, wife and house, but hopefully it will be worth the wait in the end. Cheers
Looks good mate, some choice mods there, miss my hks lol, would love to have a psssh again lol, got shot of it when I thought I was selling the car, gonna have to sort a dump valve again, getting fed up of the pigeon noises now ha ha.
Thank you. I personally prefer chatter to dumpvalves, I just worry about the damage it could cause by not having one. And thanks, I love the colour, just wish I knew what it was called.
When you fit the passenger side pod the glovebox won't open..... Welcome to my world. Some good choice mods there though. Lee
Cheers for the heads up. Luckily I don't think I've used the glovebox since I've owned the car, usually if stuff gets put in there it ends up rattling and being thrown out the window lol
im not sure sure on the colour I love the chatter noise but it's a bit much for a daily driver hence my dump valve I have read through quite a lot of discussions on here and the other forums and a lot of people say a standard megane turbo can't produce enough boost to do it any damage when it chatters although I am no specialist
Do a bit of research on it ive read it numerous times i think theyre designed like that to stop them being noisy
