265 Performance impact

  1. Hi all, I've been struggling with an issue for more than a month now, maybe you can give me some advice as I'm losing my mind.

    Car is 265 RS 2016, ~24k km

About 3 weeks ago, during a long drive, out of nowhere, my acceleration went very slugish, like a limp mode on a diesel, climbing very slow until boost. When hitting boost in 3rd or 4th at around 4k ish RPM a very small fluttering/ticking noise could be heard, not like a hose but like some plastic fan fins would hit your finger.

This noise has gone now, car started to move slightly better BUT still nowhere near to how it pulled before, bare in mind car has no map installed, stock.

I've changed the sparks to IK22 Denso, new coils, waiting for N75 and will install a FORGE recirc valve, no codes, neither on DDT or on other diag software, though after resetting the knoks and missfires, I found out it pulls a lot of these.
(I've monitored each year the number of misfires and knocks)

Compression is 14 on all 4s, what/where would the experienced go ?

  2. Checked for boost leaks?

  3. did a 1.1bar boost leak test, connected an adaptor plate on the intake hose, assside from a hiss from the vaccum small valves did not hear any hiss, should i do it again while going above 1.1, lets say 2bar?

  4. + at this point I'm at 16.5L/100km = 17.1mpg , never had that :worried:

  5. Updated on this, sparks are new, coils are new, when I was just about to get used to it being sluggish we had some really wet weather, pulled like a damn freight train, twice one week apart, same tank of gasoline. Should I check the knock & map sensors ? Its clear that moist weather made...something, any ideas ?
