  1. My nsr window doesnt work.

iv tested it with a multimeter and get 12v at the regulator on pin 4 all the time but no 12v on other pins when pressing switch.

Also i get 12v out of the switch on 2 diferent terminals deprnding weather i press for up or down,

just wondering if there is a known method for testing these windows

    thanks for looking

  2. water will have got in and fecked the regulator, they sometimes work again if you put the hairdryer on it for a while and then a quick spray with WD40, failing that, a new regulator, its a proper shit bit of design

  3. should i try one of those cube things off ebay or should i stick to the renault part

  4. i'd have a look on ebay for a reconditioned one, i got 2 from a seller on there, £40 each i think, but work fine and you keep the one touch function, Wrap a latex glove around it when your done, helps to keep it from happening again, i've had 3 x fail due to feckin water getting in:mad:

  5. oh, and you can send him your old regs and he gives £12 back for each i think.

  6. sounds good to me, ill have a look now, thanks mate.

  7. Yeah. Itll be that black box on the regulator. Called a temic unit. If you unscrew it. (Held on with a small gold torx screw) you can test the voltage at the 2 pins that press into the motor. And the test the motor itself get 2 small speaker terminal conectors and a length of twin core wire. And try it across a battery see if it goes up and down.
