Passenger door leaks......

  1. Don't know if this has been covered before but worth asking. Foot well pocket is wet.... did the usual and checked scuttle drains etc etc....washed it at weekend and tried a test of water down the outside window and it comes out the drain in bottom of door fine. Found its running out the bottom of the door and filling the door sill up then seeping in over the top of the door sill. Try and get a pic up sharpish.

  2. Hope that makes sense lol

  3. 8422b720fb7c844f7a3c79565d659f42.jpg that's were I'm on about. If any one has exerianced this or has any ideas that would be really great as it's just getting wetter

  4. Make sure scuttle drain holes are clear. Remove speaker cover, undo 4 screws, and release speaker. Use sealant around speaker edges, and refit. Where the drain holes are at the bottom of the door,i have cut the rubber away. to allow better drainage. The rubber seal that the glass slides up and down through,i sealed both the corners,as before, the water was getting past the rubber, straight into the door. Hope this helps.

  5. Yeah scuttles r clear and water runs out the drain in the door that's fine. It's just when it runs out the drain in the door it goes into the foot well over this rubber seal. Lol.

  6. I've got a problem with water coming in and dripping from the rear view mirror. Can only be the windscreen leaking I reckon. Anyone else had this? It's not the original screen.

  7. Anyone got anymore advice on this. I was wondering if lowering the door slightly would seal it better at the bottom???

  8. think I may have fixed this issue if anyone else has it.
Removed door card (bitch to do)
Near bottom of card on inside there is a strip of foam. This foam was out of shape so I guess not making a proper seal.
Padded behind the foam to really squash it against the metal part of door when put back together.
Put door card back on (even harder to get on properly)
Had a bit of rain and the sill on the inside of door were it used to gather was dry. Fingers crossed.
