250 Panel filter

  1. The pipercross that came with the car has split. Which is the best panel filter? Cheers

  2. I have got a BMC and Pipercross, could not tell any difference. The BMC is a bit more solidly put together

  3. I've read quite a few things about the pipercross splitting so don't really want to put another in

  4. had the bmc on mine ages, foam ones are gash so the mesh ones bmc or whichever brand you want are better imo,

  5. Have k&n in mine for a year with no issues. How did yours split? The mesh or bracket that split?

  6. The foam has come away from the rubber outer bit. From looking at how it is inserted to the air box I don't think it would have let anything through fortunately. So more people with cotton filters over foam?

  7. Same K&N filter in mine. Absolutely great!
But how can your filter split? Did you maintain it?

  8. I have no idea. It was on the car when I got it. Came to clean yesterday and its split. Never seen it before. But after doing some research, this has happened to a couple of people on here using pipercross. Must be shite!

  9. I have a BMC panel filter. Practically bought it when I got the car from new. 7 years later and I'm still using the same filter.

I bought a BMC cleaning kit for £20 iirc.

  10. iTG are also excellent. Supply F1/GT/LMP/WRC etc.
They come caged and reinforced but are about £40-50
