  1. Mine look like this, not nice. I do remember seeing on other forums, where people had painted theirs silver or black. had anyone done this on their car?

  2. They have a matt black finish on replacement parts. Keeps it discrete with the black wheels.

  3. Agreed, so sand it down and paint with what type of paint?

  4. Satin hammerite does the trick.

  5. Ta, will the pads clear the paint, assuming I paint with a brush and rotate the hub as i go, or do i need to remove the calliper?

  6. For rear calipers, I would just undo 1 of the 2 bolts to rotate the caliper assembly, then just mask off the disc and then spray the hub.

That's what I'll be doing at least, because mine are rusting beyond believe.

  7. Use a proper vht/uht paint. Hammerite doesn't cope with heat very well.

  8. Just got my RS265 and the hubs were very good (10K) but factory finish is mid grey etch. Just re-done mine and look like fresh from the production line. Dont brush them, never look original. Get upol etch, its the same colour.
Also look A1 with the satin black OE wheels and Brembos

  9. Use halfords VHT SILVER

  10. I agree with blade, go oem grey )

  11. TBH it doesn't matter much because whatever colour, they've look a damn sight better! Although I understand the VHT paint preference many people have used Hammerite without issue from what I have seen.

  12. Hi, Can I have a look when you have done them ?, Chris, Earl of Chester
