Paint blistering

  1. I've had my Meg for 6 months or so and the lacquer on the front bumper and bonnet have started to peel due to stone chips and I've just noticed the passengers door paint has started to blister. I suspect it's been resprayed in the past. The car has done 52,000 miles, is it worth having the paint corrected or am I just throwing money at it to put my mind at rest?

  2. If its peeling I dont think correction will help..... needs to be done properly.

  3. Take it to a decent reputable body shop and get it sorted.

  4. Is it money I'll ever see back when I go to sell?

  5. I'd imagine so. Good paint sells a car.

  6. It could do with a respray to be fair, the rear arches are badly chipped too! I'd best save up then!

  7. If you are in the Yorkshire area give me a shout and I will give you a price !

  8. I'm near London I'm afraid! I've had a quote a while ago of £250 for the bumper plus a new sticker and £200 for the bonnet!

  9. It doesn't sound too far off price wise
