Pads/discs/hoses

  1. What do people recommend? I was thinking of brembo he, ferodo ds2500 and goodridge hoses. Discs need replacing before Spa next month!

  2. I'd always used DS2500 but they loose a fair bit of bite and life the closer they get to needing replace which is understandable.

I've give DS3000 a try this time round and they're much better IMO, better bite, more consisted and better retardation.

I've got HEL braided lines and use Motul RFB600 fluid

  3. Ds3000's are really good track pads , however they don't last long , the amount of dust they produce is ridiculous also lol

If you going to be driving on the road I would stick with ds2500's

ATE super blue is good fluid for the price

  4. I've also got HEL lines, i'l see if i can find the contact details of the bloke i got them off, much cheaper than elsewhere! think they were 45-50 quid

  5. pm me if any one wants his details

HELL lines rock, DS 1.1s for you warren if you're feeling alonsoesque, if not the 3000s will be great and solid disks.

  7. The DS1.11s are brilliant on track but squeal like a pig on the road.

  8. Are braided lines worth it on if I don't track her?

Had them on my bike alright but stopping is a bit more important on one of those!

  9. Has anyone tried the pagid rs4-2 pads?

  10. Performance Friction 08 compound up front (carbon metallic) - used daily, monthly trackdays, hillclimbs, bite from cold a lot better then OEM, heated up after a couple brakings, dust like OEM and just a little bit of noise, great stopping power...290euro
Rennsport carbon metallic pads at rear, ST31 compound, lower coef. of friction than PFC 08, same noise, low dust, and they cost 70euro..
    Castrol SRF React brakefluid
doing 25min stints at Brno, Czech Rep. GP racetrack without a fade and without cooling them

I have raced with these but on a different car (Porsche 944 S2). It was standard setup in a few of the teams to pair up Yellow up front and Blue on the rear, created a really nice balance on the car. I have though RS29s up front and the orange ones on the back of that car at the moment which is pretty much the perfect brake pad setup just very expensive. Comparing to the Megane I reckon the Pagid Blues would also make a great rear pad on this car if they do them matched with RS29s or similar up front.
