Getting the 18" alloys redone at the end of the month.. does anybody in an OG have any different colours/finishes on their wheels? Would be nice to see some examples so i can decide whether or not to change the colour or stay with the original finish. Thanks guyzzz
Plenty of friendly folks on here, post a picture of the car up and ask someone to photoshop whichever colours you're thinking about
Thats the thing, i don't know.. just asking to see what other guys have on their OG's so i can get an idea from examples.. just a feeler really
Not OG but i had the crap standard satin finish on my wheels redone in gloss and it looks 10x better imo. Goes with the gloss bits on the front and back much better. As well as wing mirrors etc infact. Plus they look superb when clean, just like satin when dirty haha If you're gettin them redone btw i'd recommend buying a good product to seal them like Gtechniq C5 or equivalent from Carbon collective. Thats what i did anyway and its one of the best things i've done. I just use my normal shampoo after a foam to clean em. Come up brand new. No nasty wheel cleaners
Chap I know had an OG until recently and did the wheels gloss black - did look good! You're kinda fudged with the colour it is really - it's a great colour but being that colour silver looks plain, anthracite blends in too much and red screams look at me. Black it is!
Mine are gloss black rather than the factory satin, had them done at the end of last year, have a look in my project thread mate
Op, these are the factory satin finish. TBH I'd rather have had gloss. But never mind that - Nugs, where is your 'welocme' thread? Your car is awesome. I did click on the link but it's full of adverts for me.
It makes for good brake glow photos Definitely go for gloss over a Matte or Satin finish. Mine are sealed with Modesta products. Haven't done one, I'm actually in Australia so don't really post on this forum. Have one going here
Not 18's I know but might be useful: edit: hmmm. How does one post pictures directly to this forum? I tried linking a URL and that didn't work. I uploaded to the forum but that needs a click to the above link to view.
^ you need to upload the image first to a picture hosting site and then link to it. I know, it's a ridiculous situation in 2015.
