Well done the deed, on the space of a few days I've gone from my trusty R26 that's now been retired and a new toy had taken it's place.... 3 and a half hour drive home, and all I can say is wow!, what a car. It's a megane 265 cup with recaros in the pearlscent white and the red paint kit thingy round the edge. Home now tucked up safe in bed as will I be as I'm shattered. New chapter begins viva la France!
Lol I know maybe it's a sign for my next car. As for this one, nowt, just some spare alloys, pads etc and drive it!
Thanks ed, I've nicked named our cars ebony and ivory, I'll grab a picture of them together. I'll be calling on your services in the not too distant future buddy!
Hi Josh, thanks, the timing and deal was too good to pass up. Thanks for your time and info and good luck with yours.
Looks very nice. The more I see pictures of the red pack the more I like it. And I want yellow seat belts
Looks great Corey. Less creaks and rattles? Won't be long untill your at stage one with an intercooler I bet. ;-)
Cheers lads. First impressions are that it is so well built on comparison. German esq if you know what I mean. The interior is much nicer, seats are awesome. The ride is similar to the R26 with the cup suspension. The power delivery is excellent, no lag and the top end is relentless whereas the R26s turbo would run out of puff this one's pulls hard all the way. Impressed with the brakes so far but still learning what she can do. Back end is playful when you want it to be as well. Also loving the exhaust most once you puts the sport button as it develops a nice deep 'bark' and the throttle response becomes razor sharp. All in all I love it, I'll always have a soft spot for my R26 brilliant cars, but this is a perfect replacement.
