Opening windows mk3 megane

  1. Hello

Is it possible to wind the windows down without starting the car? I thought maybe if I press the start button, without my foot on the brake it would work, some of the car comes to life, but not the windows

  2. Only way is to put the key in the key slot.

Well it's the only way I've found so far. I to thought pressing the start button without the brake would let me open the windows

  3. No you can't unless it's with a very short space of time after turning the engine off - stupid idea.

The radio also will only stay on for a short period too, unless you keep adjusting one of the settings every few minutes.

You can close the windows however, long after the engine has been stopped by double locking the doors.

  4. I only figured out the key card in the slot thing yesterday funnily enough.

Key card in your pocket, want to start the engine and drive away? Sure!

Want to open your windows? No, don't be silly can't do that.

    French :smirk:

  5. What about start the engine, go back in house and accidentally leave your key there, return to car and drive away.

Better not turn off that engine, or you're walking home. (I know it buzzes to tell you, but still...)

  6. If mine cant sense the key it wont allow me to turn it off, well it will, but you have to push and hold the button for much longer than usual.
